Being a Glossy Box subscriber and having tried Boudoir Prive, I thought I'd give the feelunique.com Beauty Box a go. This is currently the cheapest of the beauty boxes, as it is £9.95 a month for '5 deluxe beauty samples'. There is also an option for a yearly subscription that is 12 months for the price of 11.
The box is available from here
My first box arrived today. It comes in a plain cardboard box (not pictured), unlike the other beauty boxes.
The box itself is black and pink and is quite sturdy. It is a sliding box as the outer slides off the inner.
A card with information about the contents in the box. The theme of the box is 'pre-winter warmers' which is all about 'strengthening, soothing and protecting'. On the back of the card is information about each product as well as a code for 10% off all brands featured in the box.
I received 5 samples as well as an unlisted sample of Burberry Body perfume.
This smells really nice and sophisticated and I could see myself buying this.
On to the listed samples. This is Fabulous Foaming Face Wash by Bliss. It is a 2 in 1 exfoliating wash and is oil free. Its ingredients include passion flower and rose hips. It has a really fruity smell that is fresh. The sample size is 50ml and it's £18.40 for 197ml on the site, so value wise this is a decent sample for the price of the full box.
Next up is TIGI Catwalk Sleek Mystique Straight Collection Blow Out Balm. It's supposed to give a smooth and glossy finish to hair pre blow dry. This is a full size 90ml worth £10.35 alone, which is more than the box cost!
This is Crabtree & Evelyn India Hicks Island Living Spider Lily Ultra-Moisturising Hand Therapy that has a shea butter formula. It has a pleasant scent. The sample size is 25g and a 50g tube is £8, so this works out as being worth £4.
I am a total nail polish fiend so my face always lights up when seeing a new bottle. I don't actually own any Orly so look forward to giving this a try. The shade is Haute Red. I have quite a few red polishes so am not disappointed about this colour. It's a 5.3ml size bottle. An 18ml bottle costs £8.75.
Finally is a sample of Caudalie Vinexpert Radiance Day Fluid SPF10, which is said to offer 'firming, protective and anti-wrinkle action'. I've never heard of this product before but am more than willing to try anything that helps to keep the wrinkles at bay! The sample size is 10ml. A 30ml tube costs £30.60, so this is another sample that is worth around £10!
I have to say I am over the moon with this box. I think the samples are all decent sizes (including a full size product) and they are more than worth the £9.95 I spent on the box. I can also see myself trying all of these, whereas with other boxes there have been some products that I've not felt the urge to try.
I shall keep subscribing to this and look forward to seeing what I get next month.
